Located in the Canada Pavilion in World Showcase at EPCOT, you will find this delightful steakhouse that is a hard to get reservation on busy days. This was the first time I've ever had the chance to eat here at Le Cellier (translates to "The Cellar" in French) and I absolutely LOVED it!
EPCOT has many different table service options to choose from in this park due to World Showcase. I personally feel like this park has the best food and I love all the unique dining options for EPCOT festivals too. Now onto the food at Le Cellier!
Regular Rolls and Gluten-Free Rolls
If you are a carb-lover or love eating bread then this will be your heaven! The entire basket in the first picture up above had vegan bread so I was able to enjoy this with some Earth Balance butter. I'm still dreaming of the pretzel bread as I type this out! Our sweet cast member who waited on us also brought my sister some gluten-free rolls that are around property and are actually pretty good.
I remember we ate a lot this day (on your EPCOT day you usually do lol!) so we basically had a light lunch here and just ordered appetizers or small bites. There are classic dishes on the menu like the Canadian Beer Cheese Soup or the Charcuterie Board with the Beef Fat Candle, but we wanted something a little different!
My aunt had the Wedge Salad as her appetizer and she loved the flavor of the buttermilk ranch with the Applewood-smoked bacon. She also said would recommend the Bacon Mac and Cheese because it's creamy like Stouffer's Mac.
I wanted to try a little bit of everything that had a plant-based flare, so my appetizer was the chorizo meatballs. These were made with impossible meat and I thought they were a little on the spicy side. I would definitely order these again though.
I loved the avocado cream sauce along with the corn and I believe they put Miyoko's dairy free cheese on top. The flavor profile reminded me of the vegan meatballs from the food and wine festival if you know what those taste like.
If you're a big potato fan like me, you have to get the poutine. Basically if you're not familiar with this fried classic, it's french fries with cheese curds and some sort of gravy on top. They had a vegan version of this and that's what I got below. The truffle oil was extremely rich on the french fries and after a couple bites it got too much. I would definitely split this with someone else next time because the portion was huge.
My sister got the traditional poutine and maple whiskey-glazed brussel sprouts. If you get one thing on the menu here please get the brussels sprouts and thank me later. These are so crispy and cooked well to the point where there's no bitter taste. The maple glaze really makes this dish and this is also a good side to share.
All in all, I really enjoyed our lunch here at Le Cellier! I feel like the atmosphere is very cozy and you can get a nice meal in air conditioning that is not in the hustle and bustle of the parks. Like I said above, EPCOT has some great dining options to choose from but you have to find the right one for you and your family. I would recommend coming here if you want to try something different or you like Canadian food.
Another bonus tip: A great spot to take pictures is in front of the Canada Far and Wide show like I did above. The water fall is before you head into the show! I think this would be a great addition to go see the show after you dine at Le Cellier.
Let me know what other dining reviews you'd like for me to do around Disney World and subscribe to my blog! :)
